Legacy isn’t something that starts at your funeral. It’s what you did with this afternoon.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Treating the word as something that arrives at the end makes it useless, since it becomes a thing to worry about rather than a thing to do. All of it gets assembled out of afternoons: who you helped today, what you built today, how you spoke to somebody today. No separate ceremony exists where the total gets added up.
Look at the hours left in this day and aim one of them at something that outlasts it. A message sent, a thing made, an hour given away. Today is the entire unit of construction.
What did you do with this afternoon that counted?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
