Success changes who calls you. It shouldn’t change who you pick up for.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Doing well changes the incoming traffic, and most of that is out of your hands. New people appear, old ones go quiet because they assume you are busy or feel awkward, and none of it is a verdict on anybody. What you do control is the outgoing side. Becoming hard to reach is a choice people make gradually and then describe as circumstance.

Keep answering the people who were there before, especially the ones who stopped calling first. Go to the ordinary things you would have gone to anyway. Success is allowed to change your schedule without changing your list.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

If things went great tomorrow, whose calls would you still answer?
