Name the real reason you quit, at least in your own head. Pretty reasons teach nothing.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Quitting is often the right decision, and the stated reason is often not the real one. Too busy, not my thing anymore, the coach was unfair: those can be true and still cover something plainer, like being afraid of not being good at it in front of people. The tidy reason protects you and teaches nothing. The real one is the version you can use next time.
You do not have to tell anybody, and you do have to tell yourself. Write the honest sentence somewhere private and leave it. If it turns out to be fear, that is worth knowing, because fear is a different problem from lost interest.
What was the real reason you quit the last thing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
