Hours already sunk into the wrong thing aren’t a reason to sink more. They’re tuition. Leave.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

The time you already spent is gone whether you continue or not, so it cannot tell you anything about what to do next. It still feels like it should, because quitting seems to waste it while continuing seems to save it. That is backwards. The only real question is whether the next hour is worth spending, given what you know now.

Look at the thing you keep going with mainly because of how long you have been at it. Ask whether you would sign up for it today, starting fresh. If the answer is no, treat those months as what they taught you and spend the next ones better.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Are you staying only because of hours already spent?
