Build strength faster than excuses can evolve.

Excuses adapt. Take one away and another appears wearing better clothing, more reasonable, harder to dismiss, sometimes even true. You will never reach a state where you have refuted them all, because their production is faster than your rebuttals. What outpaces them is capability, since a strength that is already built does not need to win an argument to function.

Instead of debating whether today’s reason is legitimate, put fifteen minutes into the underlying skill or fitness. Do that on the days the reason sounds good. Strength accumulated on those days is what eventually makes the debate irrelevant.
