Become disciplined enough that difficult days stop being unusual evidence.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A hard day means something different depending on how many you have had. When your practice is intermittent, difficulty feels like a sign that you are not suited to this. When it is regular, difficulty is simply a Tuesday, and it stops carrying any message about your worth or your future. The discipline is not about grinding, it is about stripping bad days of their false authority.
Keep some record of your effort over the next month, however plain. When a rough session comes, look at the record before you interpret it. One entry in a long list is not evidence of anything except that you were there.
Do hard days make you question the whole plan?
