Getting booed means you’re on the field. Nobody boos the people in the parking lot.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Criticism requires participation. The people taking shots at what you made are responding to something that exists, which puts you in a different category from everyone who kept their work private. None of that makes the noise pleasant or fair. It does mean the noise is a by-product of being in the game rather than a sign that you should leave it.
Separate the criticism worth reading from the criticism that is only volume. Ask whether the person could do the thing themselves, and whether they want you to improve or to stop. Then go back out and keep playing.
Whose criticism proves you actually showed up somewhere?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
