Nobody bounces back completely solo. Let people help. Resilience is a group project.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Recovery gets described as an individual achievement, mostly because help is invisible from outside. Someone drove you somewhere, someone covered a shift, someone sat with you for an evening and asked for nothing. Refusing all that is not strength, it is a tax you pay for a story about self sufficiency. Needing people is the ordinary condition rather than a lapse.

Ask one person for one specific thing this week, small enough that saying yes is easy. Specific requests are far easier to grant than vague ones. Then let someone help without immediately balancing the ledger.
