Rest days are written into every serious training program. Skipping them isn’t tough, it’s bad coaching.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Recovery gets scheduled by anyone who knows what they are doing, because adaptation happens between sessions rather than during them. Skipping it is not extra commitment, it is a training error, and it produces the slow decline people mistake for a lack of talent. Rest is prescribed work. Treating it as laziness costs you the very gains you were chasing.

Put one real rest day in the week and defend it the way you would defend a session. Do the recovery properly: sleep, food, something easy. You are not going soft, you are following the program.
