The comment section isn’t a courtroom, and strangers typing fast aren’t a jury.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A pile of replies can feel like a verdict because it arrives all at once and sounds confident. The people writing have spent seconds on you, know almost nothing about the situation, and are largely performing for each other. Volume is not authority, and agreement among strangers is not evidence that they are right.
When something lands badly, pick two or three people whose judgment you actually trust and ask them instead. If there is a real correction buried in the noise, they will find it. Then close the thread. Refreshing gives you no new information, only more of the same feeling.
Which stranger’s comment are you treating as a ruling?
