Working double shifts teaches you what an hour of your life is actually worth. Spend them accordingly.

Once you have traded hours for money directly, the exchange rate stops being abstract. You start seeing purchases as time: this costs a shift, that costs an afternoon. The same arithmetic applies to the hours you give away without noticing, the ones spent waiting or doing something you already know is not worth it.
Try pricing one ordinary week. Work out roughly what an hour of your labor pays, then look at where the non-working hours went. The point is not to squeeze every minute. It is to notice which hours you would happily buy back.
What is an hour of your time actually worth today?
