Having a name for being capable quietly forbids the very thing that makes people capable, which is visible difficulty. Once effortlessness is expected, asking a basic question starts to feel like a confession, so you hide the struggle and learn more slowly than the people who admit theirs. The label was meant as a compliment and works like a constraint.

Say one honest thing this week about something you do not understand, to one person who will not make it a story. Watch what happens. In most rooms it lowers the temperature and gives everyone else permission too.
