Stay an intern in your head even after you get the title. Interns ask questions. Fake experts stop.

REFLECTION
Expertise turns dangerous at the point where asking starts to feel like a risk to your standing. The questions get quieter, the gaps go unfilled, and you begin operating on an increasingly old picture of how things work. Beginners learn faster mainly because nothing stops them admitting what they do not know.
Keep asking the basic question in the room where you are supposed to be the expert. Most of the time several other people needed it asked. Treating your own understanding as provisional is uncomfortable for ten seconds and keeps you accurate for years.
What question would you ask if the title did not matter?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
