Find something to enjoy on the way up. Most of your life will be spent on the way up.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Arrival is a small fraction of any long effort, and the rest is preparation, repetition and waiting. If the only good feeling you allow yourself is the one at the finish, you have designed a life that is mostly grim with occasional relief. The climb itself has to contain something you like.
Look at your week and find the part of the work you would still do if nobody were counting. Protect it and do more of it. If you cannot find any part like that, it is worth knowing now rather than five years in.
What part of the climb do you actually enjoy?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
