Breadth is enjoyable and it rarely makes you the person anyone phones. Being the one people think of for a specific problem means going far enough into something that you know the parts nobody writes down. Spreading early feels productive and usually produces a collection of beginnings.
Choose one area and give it a long uninterrupted run, long enough to get past the interesting surface. Say no to adjacent projects for a season. The breadth is still available later, and it works much better attached to one real depth.
Which one thing could you know better than anyone nearby?
