Someday a stranger will call your old manager and ask what you were like. Work today like that call is coming.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
References get built quietly, years before anyone asks for them. The person who will one day describe you is forming that description now, out of ordinary days rather than dramatic moments. What they remember tends to be reliability, attitude on bad weeks, and whether you made their job harder.
Think about how your current supervisor would finish a sentence about you, and decide whether that is the sentence you want. Fix the obvious gap rather than trying to be impressive. And leave every place properly, because the last two weeks color the whole account.
How would your last manager describe you to a stranger?
