Somebody drove you to practice for years and waited in a cold car. Put that on the list of reasons you won.

Every achievement has contributors who never appear in the result. The hours somebody spent waiting, driving and rearranging their own life were a cost they paid so that you could do the thing, and none of it shows up anywhere. Noticing that is not guilt, it is accuracy about how you got here.

Name the people who absorbed the inconvenience and tell one of them that you know what it cost. Be specific about what they did rather than thanking them in general. If they are no longer here, saying it out loud to someone else still counts.
