Everyone chooses to show up on the good days. The day after you bombed is the choice that counts.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Coming back after a bad performance is a different act than continuing after a good one. Enthusiasm carries you through the easy version; the day after a failure you have to move without it, and usually while replaying the thing in your head. That is the day that tells you, more than anyone else, what you actually are.
When the next flop comes, put the return on the calendar before you leave. Go back at the normal time, do the ordinary amount, and let it be unremarkable rather than a statement.
