Strength is easier to appreciate when a simple movement suddenly becomes difficult.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Capability is invisible while it works. You do not think about reaching a high shelf, climbing stairs, or turning your head until one of those becomes hard, and then it is all you think about. Gratitude for physical ability tends to arrive only through its loss, which is a difficult way to learn something you could have noticed earlier.
Pick one movement you make without thinking today and notice it deliberately. Then ask what small practice would help you keep it. Attention paid now is far cheaper than attention paid later.
What could you do easily last year that is harder now?
