The panic you feel the night before a deadline is a gift from you two weeks ago. Stop sending those gifts.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stress at the end is usually manufactured earlier, by a version of you who was not thinking about tonight. Nothing mysterious is happening; a week of small avoidances arrives as one concentrated evening. Naming where it came from is more useful than resolving to be better, since it points at the weeks rather than the night.
For the next deadline, put three short sessions on the calendar in the first week. Doing anything early changes the shape of the last night more than doing a lot late.
What is future you going to panic about this month?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
