Pick up when your family calls, even mid-game. Pausing a match is easy. Getting those calls back someday isn’t.

A call is a small thing to give and not always available later. Games pause, messages wait, and the person on the other end usually wants three minutes rather than an hour. The reason to answer is arithmetic more than guilt: the cost now is tiny and the supply is not guaranteed. That is worth knowing without making every phone call heavy.

Take the next one even when the timing is bad, and say honestly if you only have a few minutes. Call back the same day when you genuinely cannot. Let them hear that you were glad it was them.
