Your brain shoots horror movies about tomorrow with an unlimited budget. Don’t hand it the director’s chair.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Imagination is very good at detail and very poor at probability, so the disaster version arrives fully rendered while the ordinary version never gets made. Because it feels vivid, it feels likely, and those two things are unrelated. The mind is doing its job; the mistake is treating the footage as a forecast.
When the reel starts, ask what the boring likely outcome is and describe that in the same amount of detail. Write both down if it helps. You are not arguing with the fear, just refusing to let it direct alone.
Who is directing the worst version of your tomorrow?
