Knowledge becomes more valuable when another person can use it without needing you beside them.

LEADERSHIP
Knowledge that only works while you are present is a bottleneck. It keeps you needed, which can feel good, and it limits what the knowledge can ever accomplish since it can only be in one place at a time. Transferred properly, it goes on working in rooms you will never enter.
Take something you know and ask whether the person you taught could do it without you next week. If not, teach the reasoning rather than the steps. Independence is the test of whether the transfer worked.
What do you know that nobody else could apply without you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
