Bravery rarely feels heroic. Usually it feels like shaky hands and a dry mouth and doing it anyway.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
The inside of a brave moment is unglamorous. There is no swell of music, only a dry mouth, a loud heartbeat and the strong wish to be somewhere else, and then you do the thing regardless. People who seem fearless are mostly people who stopped requiring the feeling to be absent.
Stop using your physical state as a gauge of whether you should proceed. Expect the symptoms, let them arrive, and act on the decision you made when you were calm. Afterwards you will notice the shaking was never the obstacle it presented itself as.
