Hiding it until it’s perfect is how most projects die quietly in a folder named “final_v7.”
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Version numbers are a record of the moment you could not decide to stop. Each round of refinement feels responsible and moves the thing a smaller distance, while the real obstacle, which is calling it done and letting people see it, stays untouched. Projects rarely die from being bad; they die from never being declared finished.
Set the release date before you start the next round of edits and treat it as fixed. When it arrives, publish whatever version exists. You can always make a better one afterwards, and you will learn more from the reaction than from another pass alone.
