Some lessons are better taught through questions because discovered answers travel further than borrowed ones.

An answer someone reaches themselves gets stored differently from one they were handed. They know the route to it, they can rebuild it later, and they trust it in a way that borrowed conclusions are never trusted. Asking a good question takes longer than giving the answer, which is why it is usually skipped.
Next time you are about to explain, ask instead. What have you tried, what would happen if, what does that tell you. Let the silence go on longer than is comfortable.
When did a good question teach you more than an answer?
