Nobody shares your full list. Two people can love the same three artists and still diverge completely by the fifth or sixth, and it is those unlikely later entries that make a combination unrepeatable. Work that feels fresh is usually work where two influences met that had no business meeting.

Write out fifteen things that shaped you, pushing past the obvious first few. Find the two that seem least related and deliberately put them in the same piece.
