Practicing where people can watch you miss is the fastest way to stop caring who’s watching.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Self-consciousness survives on avoidance. As long as you only fail in private, the fear of being seen failing stays intact and keeps steering where you practice. Doing the awkward version in front of people wears that fear down by repetition, because nothing much happens. They look for a second, and then they go back to their own attempt.

Pick the thing you only do alone and do it once somewhere visible this week. Expect it to feel bad the first time. Count how long anyone actually watches.
