Rest isn’t the opposite of the work. It’s the part of the plan that makes the next session possible.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Recovery is not time off from progress. It is when the adaptation actually happens, when what you demanded gets built, and skipping it means asking for the gains without allowing the process that delivers them. Treating rest as a failure of will is a reliable way to spend a year tired and flat with nothing much to show.
Schedule the off day the way you schedule the hard one, before the week starts rather than when you collapse. Protect sleep first. If you are getting worse while training more, the missing piece is usually here.
Where in your week is rest actually written down?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
