Knowledge reaches maturity when it can survive outside the person who discovered it.

An insight that only functions in the head of the person who had it has not really been established. Maturity for knowledge means being written down, tested by others, applied in situations the discoverer never saw, and surviving all of that. Until then it is a private impression, however true it may be.

If you have worked something out, try to state it in a way another person could use without you. Then watch what happens when they do. The failures in that test are where the idea gets finished.
