Progress bars always stall near ninety-nine percent. So do people. Don’t close the window.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
The last stretch of anything is the slowest, and it feels like failure precisely because it comes after the fast part. Most of what remains is the unglamorous resolution of small problems, which takes disproportionate time and produces no visible movement. Quitting here is common because the stall reads as a stop rather than as the shape of finishing.
When something seems stuck near the end, assume the pace is normal rather than terminal. Break what is left into the actual remaining items and do them one at a time. Do not reopen the parts already done.
What did you abandon when it was nearly done?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
