Late in a shift, when the customers are gone and nobody is watching the clock but you, the work stops being supervised and starts being chosen. That is where the difference shows. Some people do what gets them out the door, and some do what they would want to walk into tomorrow.

Pick one thing on the closing list that nobody ever checks and do it properly this week. Notice what it changes about the walk home. The habit is not really about the job, which may be temporary, but about what you are willing to leave behind you anywhere.
