Where you live shapes what feels ordinary before you ever decide what ordinary means.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Long before you had opinions, somewhere taught you what a normal day looks like, what people are usually like, what is worth worrying about. That baseline gets installed without discussion and then operates as though it were simply reality. Much of adult life involves discovering that other people were given a different one.
Pick something you assume everyone knows or does and check it against someone from elsewhere. The differences you find are usually the parts of you that came from a place rather than from a choice.
What did you assume was normal until you left home?
