Practice with the wet ball, the dead mic, the slow Wi-Fi. Real conditions are never the ones you rehearsed in.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Practice in ideal conditions prepares you for a day that never arrives. Something is always different: the ball is slick, the connection lags, the microphone dies, the room is colder than expected. If every repetition has been clean, the first messy variable becomes the whole event instead of a minor adjustment.

Introduce one inconvenience on purpose each week and work through it rather than resetting. Practice restarting after a mistake, not just performing without one. The goal is a version of the skill that still functions when conditions are ordinary rather than perfect.
