Not every voice that sounds wise is speaking for God. Check it against His character.

REFLECTION
Confidence is easy to counterfeit and hard to resist. Advice arrives in a certain register, calm and certain and quotable, and that tone does most of the persuading before the content gets examined. The test is character rather than delivery: whether it matches what you already know about the One it claims to speak for.
When something persuasive lands this week, hold it against what you already trust before acting on it. Ask who benefits if you believe it. Take it to one person with more experience than you, since the voices that cannot survive a second opinion are usually the ones that most wanted your immediate agreement.
Whose advice do you accept because they sound confident?
