If your faith never makes you kinder, it’s a hobby, not a relationship.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Belief that changes nothing about how you treat people has become an interest rather than a relationship. Hobbies are enjoyable, private and demand nothing of your temper. The simplest test available is not how much you know or how you feel during a song. It is whether the people who live with you have noticed anything, since kindness is the visible part.

Ask the person who sees you at your worst whether you are easier to live with than a year ago. Take the answer without arguing. Then pick one relationship where you are consistently short-tempered, and be different in that one before you are different anywhere public.
