You never know it’s the last time you’ll all be in the same room. Act like it might be.

Last times almost never announce themselves. A group of people who have been together constantly will at some point be in a room for the final time, and nobody in it will know, because the change happens gradually afterward rather than that evening. This is not a reason to be anxious in every gathering. It is a reason to be present in the ones you are already in.

Stay a bit longer than you planned at the next one. Take a photograph you would not normally bother with. Say the thing you would say if you knew, since you are allowed to say it regardless.
