Uneventful gets a bad reputation. Ask anyone who’s had a week of too many events.

An uneventful week has nothing wrong with it; it just produces no story. Events are what get talked about, so a stretch without any registers as empty, and you can end up faintly disappointed by a week in which nothing at all went badly. Anybody who has just had a week full of events would swap with you immediately.

When somebody asks how your week was and the honest answer is that nothing happened, try saying it as good news. It sounds strange the first time. It also stops you treating your steadiest weeks as wasted ones.
