They wanted a reaction. Giving them your silence is giving them nothing to screenshot.

Provocation is a request, and it only works when it gets answered. Anger handed back becomes material that can be shared, quoted and used to make you the story rather than them. Withholding the response leaves them holding something with nowhere to go. That is not passivity, it is declining to participate.

Do not produce one in writing when you can tell something was built to get a rise out of you. Say nothing, or say something flat and brief. Deal with the feeling somewhere that is not a screen.
