One double standard can undo a year of good speeches.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
People measure you against the rules you announce. Hold someone to a line and then step over it yourself, and the whole framework becomes theater in a single afternoon. It is not the severity of the inconsistency that does the damage; it is what it reveals about which rules were ever real.
Take one standard you ask of others and check honestly whether it applies to you at full strength. If it does not, either meet it or stop asking. Saying that out loud, once, repairs more than another speech would.
Where do you hold others to a rule you skip?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
