Ask your teammate about their weekend and actually listen. Curiosity is where trust quietly starts.

LEADERSHIP
Trust does not usually begin with a big conversation. It begins with evidence that you consider the other person a whole human being rather than a function, and the cheapest evidence available is a genuine question followed by actual attention. People can tell the difference between being asked and being processed.
Choose one person you work or play alongside and ask something ordinary about their life outside it. Then stay quiet long enough for the second half of the answer. Remember one detail and bring it up next week.
What do you know about your teammate outside of work?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
