Every bit of credit you give away comes back as loyalty, usually right when you need it.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Credit is one of the few things that grows when you hand it over. Naming who did what costs you nothing measurable and buys something durable, because people remember precisely who said their name in a room they were not in. Hoarding it, by contrast, gets noticed quietly and repaid the same way.
The next time something goes well, say out loud who made which part of it work, in front of whoever matters. Be specific rather than general. Then notice who volunteers the next time you need something.
Whose contribution could you name publicly before your own?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
