Trying to keep everyone happy is how you end up leading nobody anywhere.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Every real decision disappoints somebody, which means a decision that upsets no one has usually decided nothing. Trying to satisfy all sides tends to produce a blurred version nobody wanted, and the people counting on a direction quietly lose confidence that one is coming. Being liked and being followed are not the same errand.
Take a call you have been softening and make it cleanly, then tell the person who loses out why, to their face. Do not apologize for the decision itself. Most people can live with a no they understand far better than a maybe that never ends.
Where has pleasing everyone left you without a direction?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
