You can tell what someone expects to keep by what they bother maintaining.

REFLECTION
What someone maintains reveals what they expect to still have. The car that gets serviced, the friendship that gets a call, the skill that gets practised, the tooth that gets seen to. Where maintenance stops, a quiet decision has usually been made, sometimes without the person noticing they made it.
Look at what you have stopped maintaining and ask whether you meant to let it go. Some of it you did. Some of it will surprise you, and can still be picked back up.
What does your upkeep say about what you expect to lose?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
