LEADERSHIP
Titles describe what an organisation has decided about you, not what you currently know about the room. Every group has its own history, its unspoken rules, and reasons for doing things in ways that look wrong from outside. Walking in as though you already understand costs you the first month of information and some goodwill you will want later.
Spend the early weeks asking how things came to be this way before proposing how they should change. Find whoever has been there longest and buy them a coffee. You can move quickly later with much better aim.
How did you carry yourself in your first week somewhere new?
