An AI can hand you the paragraph. It can’t sit the exam or the interview for you.

A tool that produces the output does not produce the capability, and the two are easy to confuse when the output looks finished. The paragraph appears, the task closes, and nothing has been deposited in you. The situations that matter most tend to be the ones where you are alone with a question and the tool is not in the room.

Use it for the parts that are genuinely mechanical and keep the thinking. Read what it gives you and check whether you could have produced that argument yourself. Where you could not, that is the part to go and learn.
