From a plane window, your entire city fits in a thumbprint. So does the problem you’ve been losing sleep over.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Proportion is almost impossible to judge from close range. A problem occupies the whole field of view because it is near, not because it is large, and the same thing that fills your week would be a footnote in a description of your year. Distance does not solve anything; it just corrects the size.
Try to get some distance on purpose rather than waiting for it. Write the problem in one sentence, then write what your life will contain a year from now. Seeing them on the same page is often enough to let you sleep.
What are you losing sleep over that is actually small?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
