A tree adds one thin ring a year and still ends up taller than the house. Thin rings count.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Increments too small to notice are still the mechanism by which large things get built. A single year of growth is almost invisible against the whole trunk, and yet nothing else produced the trunk. The reason slow accumulation feels ineffective is that the unit of progress sits below the threshold where you can perceive it.

Choose an amount so small it seems hardly worth doing and then do it consistently. Ten minutes, one page, one set. The point is not the size of the daily piece, it is that the pieces keep being added when nobody is watching.
