Titles get printed on business cards. Mastery gets printed on everything you touch.

REFLECTION
A title is granted and can be withdrawn; skill is deposited in you and travels. What you can actually do shows up in the quality of the work regardless of what the organization calls you, and people who work alongside you form their judgment from that rather than from the line under your name. Titles describe a position, not a capability.
Spend your effort on the part that cannot be taken back. Get measurably better at one specific thing this quarter. Position is worth having, and it is considerably less durable than being the person who can actually do the job.
What are you good at that no title names?
