You don’t need a life mission to live today well. Water the plant, text your friend back, finish the page.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Waiting for a grand purpose can stall the plain good that is available today. A day is made of small finished things, and none of them require a settled answer about your life. Whatever mission eventually arrives will come out of a long run of ordinary days rather than instead of them.
Do three small things today that are obviously worth doing, and finish each one. Water the plant, answer the message, complete the page. Purpose is much easier to spot from inside a functioning week than from inside a stalled one.
Which three small things would make today count?
